ALTOONA.-- More than 2,000 of packets of heroin will never be on the streets of Altoona. It was intercepted by Altoona police and now three people are behind bars.
Hiding their faces and hanging their heads, the three suspected heroin dealers had nothing to say for 6News cameras after they were arraigned on drug charges Thursday.
Police say three Philadelphia men; -- Isaiah Brown, William Wingate the III and Dontei Taylor -- attempted to bring the thousands of packets of heroin into Blair County.

Police said their investigation began two weeks ago, when a confidential informant told police a woman in Philadelphia called "China" offered to supply heroin. Police say "China" said she would send runners to deliver the heroin in Altoona.
Police said the runners arrived in Altoona around 5 Wednesday evening. Police said one of the men came out of a white van carrying a grocery bag full of the drugs. Police said the three men were arrested on Valley View Boulevard.
Police said there were a total of 2,590 packets stamped Apple and 10 packets stamped Banshee.
Police said $30,000 was also seized in the investigation. According to Altoona police, when money is forfeited it goes to the Blair County District Attorney's Office. The city does not receive money, but the DA's Office can use the money for future investigations, purchase equipment for officers and send officers to training.
The three men are behind bars Thursday night facing felony drug charges.
