Westmoreland County, PA — Authorities in Westmoreland County say a Penn Township man has pleaded guilty to murder in the deaths of his father and aunt.
Investigators say Neal Hubish, 43, was accused of fatally stabbing his father, Arthur, and his aunt, Maria Puskarich, in November of 2021.
On Tuesday, officials say Hubish appeared in court where he pleaded guilty to charges of first-degree murder and simple assault.
Authorities say he will serve an automatic life sentence without the possibility of parole, as well as an additional 1 to 2 years on the assault charge.
“While I can’t imagine the grief and pain this incident caused the relatives of the Hubish and Puskarich family, I hope this action today brings justice for them," said Westmoreland County DA Nicole Ziccarelli.
