BENNER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WJAC) — A fire ravaged a Centre County home late Friday night, on the 1000 block of West College Avenue in Benner Township.
Centre County Dispatch said firefighters from Pleasant Gap, Bellefonte, Centre Hall, and State College were called to the scene around 11pm.
The blaze caused extensive damage to much of the house — with one side completely singed and hollowed out, scorch marks along the roof lining, and a tree who's top leaves appear to have been burnt off.

MANHEIM, Pa. (AP) — Police say a man was found in the trunk of a car that arrived to be sold at a Pennsylvania auto auction.
Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Chief David Steffen said the man is being treated at a hospital and is expected to be released. He isn't identifying the man or the nature of the treatment or his injuries.
Workers who were inspecting the vehicle found the man Thursday at the massive Manheim Auto Auction facility, about 90 miles (130 kilometers) west of Philadelphia.
UPDATE | Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities are providing new details about the investigation into an alleged bomb threat that shut down a Philipsburg-area shopping center Tuesday morning.
Officials say state police and other emergency responders quickly set up a perimeter at the Peebles Plaza, and a bomb dog was brought in.
Investigators say the threat was reportedly called in from out of state.
After several hours, the area was re-opened with no explosive devices found.
GROVELAND, Fla. (TND) — A man called police about his live-in girlfriend acting violently for the second time in nine months. Actually, he said last week's incident happened twice.
The officer in Florida spoke to the victim in the couple’s driveway at 1:30 a.m. last Tuesday, May 7.
“Recently,” the arrest report said, “the defendant has been violent with the victim and has been constantly accusing him of cheating on her with a neighbor and multiple other women.
