INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indianapolis 500 started Sunday after a rain delay of four hours with NASCAR star Kyle Larson still at the track and in the race.
Larson is trying to run “The Double” and compete in both the Indy 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. But the weather in Indianapolis on Sunday put a year's worth of planning in jeopardy when a strong band of thunderstorms swept through Indianapolis Motor Speedway ahead of pre-race festivities.

University officials say next year's game will be held on Saturday, April 13 at Beaver Stadium and is expected to kickoff sometime in the early to mid-afternoon.

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. (AP) — State police say a shooting near a college in southern Pennsylvania has left a Philadelphia man dead and another wounded.
But it's not clear what sparked the shooting, which occurred around 8:15 p.m. Sunday a few blocks away from the campus of Shippensburg University.
State police say the body of 21-year-old Shakur Myers was found near a vehicle. The wounded victim, 21-year-old Samir Stevenson, was flown to a hospital and remains in critical condition.
