investigation underway after shooting at Lehigh County Waffle House

One person is injured after a shooting at a Waffle House in Hanover Township, Lehigh County Sunday morning, state police say. According to a press release, state police were dispatched to the Waffle House on Airport Road at approximately 3:00 a.m. for a report of a shooting. State police say that they observed a gunshot victim on scene and provided medical care. The press release states that the victim was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital and treated for his injuries.

PennDOT Goes Live With Plow Truck Tracking

Harrisburg, PA- PennDOT is now going live with its new plow truck tracking system. Governor Tom Wolf announced the new Automated Location System on Monday. The system is meant to improve PennDOT's information on vehicle movement and usage of winter materials within 700 plow trucks in Pennsylvania, PennDOT officials said. "This is a step forward in showing Pennsylvanians how hard PennDOT is working to keep them safe during the winter season,"

Primanti Bros. signs lease for Johnstown location

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — Pittsburgh-based Primanti Bros. is coming to Johnstown. Pennswood Commercial Realty, an Altoona-based commercial real estate broker, announced late Monday that a lease has been signed with the regional restaurant chain at the former LoneStar Steakhouse & Saloon on Galleria Drive in Richland Township. The property is owned by BVB Properties in Charlotte, N.C. Primanti Bros., known for signature sandwiches of grilled meat and french fries, currently has 41 locations including in Altoona and State College.

Utah GOP opts to challenge incumbent state leaders with convention votes

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — A marathon Utah Republican Party convention finally ended close to midnight—six hours later than planned—and in the end, incumbents were left fighting more than sleep. State Rep. Phil Lyman soundly beat Gov. Spencer Cox in the GOP delegate vote, 68% to 32%, a margin that would have been enough to knock Cox out of the race altogether, had the governor’s campaign not collected more than 28,000 signatures to ensure his place on the primary ballot.
