New Hampshire motorcyclist killed in multi-vehicle crash on I-80 near Penfield

Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — State police in Clearfield County have released more information about Wednesday's fatal crash on Interstate 80 westbound in Union Township. Troopers say 59-year-old Amy Freeman, of Salem, NH, was killed when her motorcycle was struck by a tractor-trailer that had collided with another tractor-trailer that had become disabled. Investigators say tractor-trailer #1 was traveling a short distance behind the second tractor-trailer, in the left lane, when the driver noticed that the vehicle had become disabled, from a mechanical issue, and was attempting to exit onto the side of the roadway.

Jehovah's Witnesses convention helps boost local economy

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) -- More than 3,000 people were in Johnstown this weekend for the annual Jehovah’s Witnesses convention. It's a time of fellowship for many, but it also has a big impact on the local economy. It's the sixth year of the convention at the first summit arena at the Cambria County War Memorial. People from Ohio, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia joined together for the Jehovah’s Witnesses convention.

Jury seated for trial of Johnstown man Brian Giles

UPDATE | CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Jury selection wrapped Wednesday for the trial of Johnstown man Brian Giles, who is accused of killing his wife Nancy in 2018. Including alternates, the jury with consist of 9 men and 7 women. Giles was arrested and charged with homicide in May of 2022, following a three-and-a-half year investigation into the disappearance and death of his wife. 6 News recently sat down with Giles, at the Cambria County Prison, as he maintains his innocence in his wife's death.
