WASHINGTON (TND) — TikTok and its parent company are suing to block a U.S. law that would force a nationwide ban of the social media app, according to a lawsuit filed on Tuesday.
President Joe Biden signed legislation, which has been dubbed the Protecting Americans From Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act, in April. It gives TikTok's China-based parent company, ByteDance, nine months to sell it or face a nationwide prohibition in the U.

Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn will align, in that order, all in a row, in the predawn skies of the southeastern United States beginning on June 3, according to Sky & Telescope.

10 of those people spent more than 100 hours in 2023 with residents, including Volunteer of the Year Pattie Fromknecht, who had a whopping 272 hours.
The guest speaker, Retired Brig. Gen. Maureen Weigl, thanked volunteers for their time, talents, and support of veterans.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (TND) — Missouri state Rep. Ben Baker, R-Neosho, said Friday his daughter and her husband were killed during a mission trip to Haiti.
Rep. Baker wrote in a Facebook post that Davy and Natalie Lloyd were both killed during an attack by a Haitian gang. The couple was working on behalf of Missions In Haiti, an Oklahoma-based Christian organization, which reports a third missionary named Jude was also killed during the ambush.
