ELK COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Authorities in Elk County say a man was killed Wednesday after he reportedly fell from a sixth-story apartment window in Ridgway.
According to Elk County coroner Michelle Muccio-Krise, the man has been identified as 58-year-old Timothy Towne.
Investigators say Towne was found dead outside the North Mill Street apartment complex Wednesday afternoon.
Officials say an autopsy determined that Towne suffered multiple blunt force injuries in what is being described as a "high-level" fall.
Authorities have ruled his death as accidental and note that drug and alcohol use reportedly contributed to the fall.
Officials say no foul play is suspected and Ridgway Borough Police, as well as state police, are continuing to investigate.
