Penn State University police say a Boalsburg man is behind bars after he admitted to filming multiple female students inside a campus shower hall.

According to the affidavits, campus police received multiple complaints earlier this month of a man who was allegedly filming female students inside Hamilton Hall.

Police say at least two victims reported seeing a cell phone being placed over or under the stall while they were showering.

Authorities say, upon further investigation, the suspect, later identified as 24-year-old Xinyu Li, was reportedly caught on surveillance camera entering the shower hall around the times of the alleged incidents.

Police say they were able to located Li's vehicle, which was registered to a delivery/storage service for college students.

Investigators say Li was listed as the "founder and president" of said business.

Police say when they later questioned Li, he allegedly admitted to filming the two students and claimed that he deleted the videos because he "felt guilty."

Authorities say a search of Li's phone, however, led to the discovery of five videos which were reportedly hidden on an app that was disguised to look like a calculator tool.

According to online court records, Li is being held at the Centre County Prison on two separate charges of felony criminal trespass and privacy invasion.

Bail has been set at $10,000 in each case.
