Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — Officials with Bishop McCort Catholic High School have announced the funeral arrangements for the victims of last week's fatal house fire on Fayette Street in Westmont Borough.
School officials say the funeral Mass for Grant Jeanjaquet and Vindy Kohan will be held Saturday, at 10 a.m., at Our Mother of Sorrows Church located along Tioga Street.
Investigators say Jeanjaquet, an aspiring Navy nurse, was killed in the blaze last Wednesday while trying to escape from the first floor of the home.
6 News spoke with his former coaches and principal at Bishop McCort who described him as a role model and an "all-American kid."
Authorities say the blaze also left his mother and two sisters hospitalized and, tragically, his sister Vindy passed away earlier this week from injuries sustained in the fire.
Since the tragic blaze, the community and several local businesses have rallied together to support the family with various donation drives.
School officials add that Saturday's Mass will also be livestreamed on the church's YouTube page.
Organizers say additional parking will also be made available for the funeral.
