Blacklick Valley Elementary School closes for 2 weeks after staff member gets COVID-19

NANTY GLO, Pa. (WJAC) A staff member at Blacklick Valley Elementary in Nanty Glo has tested positive for COVID-19, according to Superintendent Bill Kanich. Kanich says students will learn virtually for two weeks before returning to their hybrid model on Oct. 19.

The superintendent says school officials worked with the Department of Health to perform contact tracing.

He says anyone who was in close contact has been notified.
